Aleix sat there, absently fiddling with his bracelet as their teacher asked for volunteers to sing. The tall teen looked around, almost ready to volunteer himself first if only to get it over with already, but one of the girls beat him to the punch. He smiled at the girl as she stood and then kind of tuned her out while still managing to pay a little attention to her. He wasn't going to be completely rude but he did need to steel his nerve for whenever it'd be his turn to stand and sing. Lexi was undoubtedly nervous as he always was when he'd be forced to sing in front of other people. However, he wanted this. He wanted to be good at this. The skinny boy knew well that the moment he stood up to sing, everyone in the room would be judging. It's what they did and from his experience, everyone believed they were better than everyone else. He couldn't be sure that this time it was true, but that was just how it usually went. It was kind of sad, really. Aleix didn't get why people couldn't simply admire and appreciate other peoples' gifts instead of being spiteful. The dark haired boy had gotten so distracted by his preparation that he didn't realize the first girl, whatever her name had been, had finished and that one attention seeker from his Creative Writing class had stood up. That was at least until he heard a new voice start singing. Aleix looked over at her and couldn't help but smile slightly. While the song wasn't one he'd typically listen to, he had to admit that the girl was good. He wasn't too fond of what personality he'd seen from her until that point, but he could respect the fact that she did have talent. When Rome sat down, Aleix smiled slightly at her and then looked around before standing up with an inaudible sigh, plastering on a well practiced smile. "Uhm, well, I guess that I'll go next," he stated, ready to just get this over with. He didn't feel the need to introduce the song he was going to sing, because the title and original artist didn't matter so much. It was more of being able to master the song itself. After taking another moment to compose himself, Aleix took a deep breath and began to sing. "I never knew. I never knew that everything was falling through, that everyone I knew was waiting on a cue..." He knew the entire song by heart as it was one he'd grown to love for various reasons. Lexi smiled slightly as he sang, knowing he probably made a few mistakes here and there but he tried his best and that was all he could really offer. He tried to pretend that he was alone in his room or something instead of in front of the others to try to chill his nervousness, and it actually worked a bit. Once he was finished, he flashed a real smile and sat back down with a heavy exhale. It was going to be a long class, he could tell already. tag;; vocals class word count;; 527 notes;; Song is here if you don't know it. Though I'd kinda hope you'd do. “Oh, SHIT!” Christiana stared at the clock in her room, horrified. Her hair was still sopping wet from her shower, she was only half dressed, and heaven forbid she was ready for class. And her first class of the day, no, the school year, well, it was supposed to start soon. In two minutes, to be exact. Of course, this would happen to her. She was brand new to this school, she was here practically against her will, and oh my gosh, why was she still standing there? Panicking, she grabbed a pair of jeans and a top, dressed, put her wet hair up in a ponytail, and grabbed her books, running out of her dorm room. It probably should have clicked in to her when her roommate left the room an hour earlier, but she wasn’t used to dorm life. She was used to her mother coming into her room in the morning, waking her up, and pushing her to get ready for school. Her mother had always made sure she was at school on time. But now, things were different. Dashing through the halls towards her first class in Holmes Hall, she took a couple of wrong turns at first. She realized that she had forgotten her schedule back in her room, and had no idea where her class was. Luckily, someone walking through the hall was nice enough to point her in the right direction. Finally arriving at the classroom, she took a deep breath and was painfully aware of her stomach growling horribly. Biting her lip, she opened the door and stepped in. “Sorry I’m late...” she half whispered, trailing off in embarrassment. It seemed she was the last student to arrive, obviously, being late, and it looked like someone had just finished singing. Christiana felt her cheeks grow hot as she stood, panting, and grinned sheepishly. Outfit
