The air outside was cool, warning of the winter to come as this was just a taste of what would blow through this place. Ros tried to listen to Angie with as much focus as she could muster, focus on the lips moving and maybe there wouldn't be anything else to jump out and scream...
Pranks, Ros wasn't sure how to handle them really, she'd just looked at the girl and gave a sad sigh. It wasn't funny, even as others laughed and kept moving. Crossing her arms the gesture was more to keep her warm then show her frustration. Even now she still felt more like a child and less like the teachers around, or even some of the older children. She should have told that girl off, punished her...taken her away from the tour and back to the hotel...
That was right, she could do that, she was the authority around here!
A soft shout made her tense as she looked back at Russel suddenly flailing about like fighting some invisible being. It took a moment before the explanation came out but she simply smiled. No, of course Russel wouldn't get attacked by a ghost, she was still being so paranoid. Seeing the girl who had screamed talking to Russel she felt a little upset that she could still just so easily tease him and talk with him. However, like the night was proving more and more, the situation was quick to change once again as another voice carried up towards her.
"What is going..." turning she saw the girl who had so happily dared to scare everyone looking just as terrified as she'd felt before, following her gaze she saw the red first before her mind even registered anything else.
There was blood, and a student down. Everyone just seemed to keep their distance just watching as she instead stepped forward at the urging of the other girl to help him.
"Someone call an ambulance...don't just stand there!" Ros cried out as she moved forwards going to the student as she grabbed him. What little first aid she knew she'd try to use. Fear only being eclipsed by adrenaline and knowing that someone had to help him. So what if this was a risk to her? What of the student.
"Keep calm and everything will be alright." She spoke gently trying to get him to be still as she pulled up his shirt only to be greeted by another bloody sight. An open wound, blood spilling over her fingers as she suddenly drew back. There was a lot of blood, warm, wet as she just stared at the student unsure what to do. "There's so much blood..." She murmured, stumbling back as the world began to suddenly tilt to the left. It felt like someone had winded her as she tried to find something to hold onto to catch herself as her balance wavered her face going white as a sheet before everything went black. The earth rising up quickly to catch the unconscious librarian.

Russel shook his leg for a second, still trying to get rid of the residual feeling of having been covered in a spider web, when Rome joked about it. Her reference to Ros made him go a bit pink in the cheeks. For a minute, he didn't say anything at all. "I don't..." he began to protest, then found he didn't really have words to finish that sentence. But before he could try to deny it a different way, all hell seemed to break loose.
At first he thought the student was just going to be sick, like maybe the excitement of the tour's events had been too much, but when he saw the blood his eyes widened in horror. For a second he froze on the spot. But when Rome screamed, it hit him that he was one of the teachers here, and he went into responsible adult mode, though inside he was panicking. He rushed forward with Ros, standing at her side as she knelt to examine the student, who seemed to be bleeding from a wound on his stomach. How on earth had that gotten there? It didn't make any sense, but there could be no mistaking the pain the student was in. The kid was in tears. "What's wrong? What happened?!"
Then as Ros looked at her hand and murmured something about blood, her face went white and she slipped sideways. He stooped to catch her just before she hit the ground, then laid her out gently, reaching into his pocket with his other hand for his cell phone. Oh god, this was a nightmare! He felt like fainting, himself. He didn't know how he was even thinking coherently. Flipping open the phone, he saw that his battery had gone dead. "Shit!" he cursed, beyond caring at this point. He looked around at the others, his face deadly serious. "Somebody call an ambulance, right now!"

Everything was going great, they were finally in some fresh air, and despite his creative writing teacher freaking out about a spider, life was going good again, even if there were no more ghost ducks to gawk at.
Well, there weren't any ghost ducks, but suddenly there was a panic behind him. He could vaguely hear a student crying, and he looked at the tour guide to see that she looked terrified, backing away from the group as if she were about to make a run for it. He turned just in time to see the wound on the student's stomach and the librarian faint. Well, this was definitely an interesting hallucination. Was his LSD mixed with something?
Well, maybe not, but it could be. He walked away from the group to sit behind a headstone and light up a joint. He needed to be much, much more high for this. All of the commotion was starting to give him a headache, and he was already in a less than favorable mood. He wished he had some white powder- it would at least give him a mood boost. But no, he had opted for the system depressants, which meant he was sleepy and thus cranky from lack of sleep seeing that he was being kept awake.
He breathed in the smoke and out again. Really, if he got caught, it wasn't like they could do anything, right? Besides, it was a very small joint, and by his fifth drag, it was gone and he was considerably much, much more mellow... so much that he closed his eyes, allowing the sound to drown out into a peaceful hum. He could go to sleep like this.

Lexi found his focus quickly slipping from the ghost tour to other more interesting topics, such as some way to make the family reunion coming up that winter more interesting. Maybe he could team up with Josh and pull an epic prank like they did when they were yo-- Aleix's train of thought came to a screeching halt at the unexpected scream that caused him to jump. Of course, a few moments later proved it just to be Ms. Drama Queen, Aleix couldn't for the life of him remember her name though he thought it started with an R, from Creative Writing trying to freak people out. The tall teen couldn't help but smile a bit at that. At least someone was doing something to liven things up a bit. Lex couldn't be bothered himself, partly because he wanted to avoid possible speeches from Josh about that not being something good to do. He rolled his eyes at the thought alone as the tour continued on outside. Crossing his arms over his chest, Aleix looked around as their tour guide went on about something, he wasn't really listening. Really, Lex was too far gone in his own thoughts until the word ambulance stuck out among all the others. Quickly bringing his focus back to the event at hand, Aleix looked around to see what was going on in time to see a vaguely familiar student looking as though he were having some kind of fit or something. Really? Wasn't that a bit overkill? Lexi arched his pierced eyebrow for a moment, only to furrow his brow a few seconds later. There was an awful lot of blood. Maybe he wasn't faking it. Mr. Connor and... the unconscious librarian seemed to think so. Lexi grabbed for his phone in his pocket as Mr. Connor stated that someone needed to call an ambulance, only to remember with a frown that the battery was dead. "Mine phone's out of commission," he offered as he looked around at some of the others. Lex still wasn't too sure if he believed that the kid on the ground was really hurt or if it was just a prank, but part of that could've just been wishful thinking. tag;; global word count;; 371 notes;; \o/ outfit;; clickmeh credit;; graphics and form: alice. lyrics: "just a dream", nelly.

Post by ATTICUS ESTHER REINOEHL on Apr 20, 2011 21:56:39 GMT -5
Atticus was groaning in fake agony, coughing up just a little more of the fake blood- a teacher had fainted. He wanted to laugh right then, but instead, he reached up towards Dietrich with a trembling hand. "Die... trich..." he coughed again, but he was trying to get Dietrich to bend on his knees beside him. The play was coming to an end.
---
Dietrich managed to force tears into his eyes as he fell to his knees beside his twin, "Atticus..." He squeezed his eyes shut as he clung to Atticus, "Brother..!" He was loving this. It was just like old times...the two of them getting into trouble. Well...they would likely get into trouble over this...
---
"Dietrich... I..." Atticus couldn't help it. At that, a smile spread over his face as he was pressed against his twin. And then... laughter. It was slow at first, with the soft breaths hitting his twin's skin as he tried to contain the sound, but he could, and his head fell back as he started to thoroughly cackle in delight. He was laughing so hard that he couldn't breathe and tears were in his own eyes. "Fuck! You guys should see the looks on your faces right now!" even so, he still clung to his twin for the stability the other provided him.
---
At first he didn't realize that Atticus was starting to laugh, as those soft breaths on the side of his neck were quite distracting. His eyes widened a little, and he quickly joined in his twin's laugher when he realized what he was feeling. The situation was funny, but he was laughing mostly in order to distract himself...
---
He let go of his twin's shirt to sit up and pull of the prosthetic, the vials of ruptured costume blood dropping to the ground. He wiped at his mouth, but only succeeding in smearing more of the blood along his jaw. "I knew all of these years of doing my own make up would pay off," he then decided to borrow Dietrich's shirt to wipe off his hands... mainly because he could.

Post by ANTHEA CHRISTINA DE LUCA on Apr 21, 2011 17:07:41 GMT -5
Even though Rome's act had annoyed Mr. Connor, the blonde found it entertaining...once she was sure that the other girl was alright of course. It made the experience more interesting when people did not know what to except. It was obvious to her that everyone quickly let down their guard after they realized Rome had fooled them.
Especially when Mr. Connor had walked into the spider web and been frantic to remove the sticky material. It was cute to see that even her teacher could be silly. Anthea looked over to see if the librarian was watching her teacher. She was happy that the brunette indeed was and she smiled broadly when she saw the look on her face. She liked being right about people. It made her feel like she wasn't so hopeless after all.
Then she heard what started as a frightened whisper turn into hysterics. Someone had fallen to the ground was there was lots of thick red liquid.
While other students around her started to panic, Anthea just froze and stared in shock at what was happening with Atticus. Ms. Barker had tried to take charge of the situation, but after seeing the wound on Atticus' stomach she passed out.
“Somebody call an ambulance, right now!” she heard Mr. Connor yell.
What on earth had happened? The only thing she could think of was that the spirits were not as benign as she had at first believed. Maybe they were angry.
“Atticus...Brother...!”
Dietrich held his brother in his arms. She felt so sad for them. It didn't look like the boy would make it...They were laughing?
“Fuck! You guys should see the looks on your faces right now!”
It was an act...? But she had really been scared for him! She hadn't guessed that this tour might have involved group participation.
“Wow...” she whispered.
Then she let a big smile take over her face. “What a performance! Bravo!”

Mr. Connor looked around at everyone, watching those who weren't totally scared stiff by the situation take out their cell phones and discover that they were dead, while behind him a scene of tragedy played out. It was crazy that everyone's phones were dead! What the hell was he supposed to do now? He had never been in a situation even remotely like this before! He turned back to face Atticus, wracking his brain for something he could do and finding nothing. God, a student was going to die right in front of his eyes and he was powerless to stop it! But then:
"Fuck! You guys should see the looks on your faces right now!"
Laughing? They were... laughing? It took a little while for him to register the fact that this had all been an elaborate prank, and then the anger welled up inside him. With a glance at Ros, he stood up and glared at both boys. He didn't know them, didn't have either of them in his classes, but that wasn't going to stop him from setting them straight. This was just unacceptable behavior.
"You think that's funny?" he asked, his voice stern, his face absolutely unsmiling. "What if someone had gotten hurt? Miss Barker here could have hit her head on something when she fainted just now. Did you even stop to consider the consequences of your actions? I'm not opposed to pranks, no, but that... that..." He had to take a deep breath to keep himself from shouting or saying something he might regret. He gave the boys each a long, hard look. "If the tour wasn't already concluding I would escort you both back to the hotel right now."
As for punishments, well, he was never very comfortable giving those out, and the fact that these were not his students made it even more difficult, so he left that up to Chord if the teacher so wished it. Personally, he thought neither of them deserved to go to the upcoming dance, but he would let someone else decide their fate. Right now, he wanted to make sure Ros was all right.

The commotion was hard to ignore, even in her peaceful little sleep Ros wondered what all the noise was about as she shifted on the hard hotel bed.
No...no wait...when did they get to the hotel? When did the bed go from being so soft it nearly swallowed the librarian in its layers of sheets and blankets to feeling so hard and cold? It smelled musty as she began to stir. Too noisy and uncomfortable to sleep, but she didn't remember going to bed. No, they were on the tour, there was screaming...and...
Why was Russel talking in such a stern voice?
Opening her eyes Ros scrambled to sit up, her body feeling heavy as she looked around at the group of students. There had been blood, and screaming, and she'd tried to go help the student when she'd seen the wound. Her stomach did a little flip as her mind tried to catch up with what had happened. She wasn't use to the sight of blood, or gore, but then there had been that and...and...she'd fainted.
How much time had passed as she looked at Russel and then at the students he was reprimanding. One was still covered in blood, but they were both looking very amused with themselves as she'd realized it had just been a prank. Crimson painted her cheeks as she started to try to get to her feet, legs shaky as she listened to the English teacher talking to the students.
It was humiliating in a way, watching him act like a teacher as he addressed that others could have gotten hurt by the prank making an example of her own actions. "It's okay Mr. Connor. I'm alright." She spoke, trying to brush herself off and regain her composure in front of everyone.

It had all happened so fast. One moment he was paying his respects to the deceased, and the next a student had went into a fit. A chaperon had fainted, and another was trying to call an ambulance. He saw the boy who was obviously on something hide behind a tombstone and everyone else either watching or screaming. He saw the small Asian girl crying as she held onto one of her friends.
"..." his eyes were ice cold as he approached the German twins. "Up. Get up." he spoke in a stern tone, his jaw clenched. "Do you understand how disrespectful you have been? How would you like it if you were dead by some morbid account and someone made light of that in front of you?" he was scowling- he was furious. How dare they!?
"Well, I hate to cut this short, Angie, but I believe it would be best if you would take us back to the cathedral. Apparently my students are not mature enough to handle something as simple as a ghost tour." he was disappointed with them all: Atticus and Dietrich for the prank, Rome for the fake scream, Russel for being afraid of a spider, Ros for fainting.
"And you," he took long strides towards the tombstone Grim was behind. "Get up right now." he took Grim's arm and forcefully hoisted the boy onto his feet. "You are not to go out of the sight of the teachers again, do I make myself clear?" he scoffed and pushed him back towards the group before walking. "What are you all waiting for? Come on. We're calling it a night."
