Player's Name: Yetlian. YETI. Other Characters: None! Contacts: PM for other info is fine. Random Fact: I write better under stress.
Name: Aeson Cadus Durant Alias: Never had any. Age: 17 Birthday: August 12th. Gender: Male Sexual Preference: Heterosexual Occupation: Student
Grade: Senior. Concentration: Visual Arts – Sculpting Class List: Sculpting, US History, Statistics, German II, and Environmental Sciences
Hair: Aeson's hair is sophisticated in the sense that is out-dated, 1950s, and a little “run way.” The front section of his hair is longer than the rest, leaving him to style in a contemporary way that can be slicked back, tousled, and even perfected into an 'Elvis' look. As a younger child he had been blonde but as Aeson got older his hair became a dark brunette with brassy undertones. Eyes: He falls under the majority: brown eyes. Height: Some days he feels like he is taller than most kids, other days he feels as if he is the exact height. Even if he is described as tall and lanky, there are muscle tones, which take away his self consciousness while standing at 6 ft. Weight: Aeson has a good metabolism for his height, which allows him to stay at 153 lbs.
Aeson is by no means your friend, your lover or even your enemy. He is the type of person to avoid a person, even if they were screaming at the top of their lungs. Being born into a family who owns a business, he was raised on maturity and was told specifically to disregard anyone who was “beneath” him. Lux Lucis is by no means a prestigious school, but he had been enrolled by his elder sister in hopes that he could discover his humanity. During his junior years, he had his group of friends and kept partial to them but now as that he is thrown into the “jungle” (as Aeson puts it) he has to fend himself from scrutiny, for he is fearful of bringing shame to his family's name and business. Born into riches, he sits within an arrogant spectrum – if that doesn't scare people off, then Aeson will use other means.
There is nothing that Aeson fears, for he is certain if he got into trouble there would be a quick escape with the amount of money he could throw at someone. If he were to fear something, it would be the possibility of losing his father's company to his sibling. Theories about Aeson circulate through out the Durant family, that he could possibly be bipolar or even out of his mind. His mother, who has always been mentally weak and an alcoholic resembles Aeson the most. They are both pessimistic and go through their daily life with apathy. Some days he feels this bottomless pit that must be filled, and only then will he seek the company of others. However, by no means is his presence romantic or charming – he is usually accustom to buying people's affection. Which in return, usually causes the person to be in debt to Aeson... which he will later use against that person.
Aeson is not stupefied by numbers, and he can read in-between in the lines. He knows very well that what he says or does isn't very rational. In the past, his therapy sessions would end up with him being checked off as “fine” because he showed high intelligence. Yet, Aeson is an exceptional actor and feels that being near a psychologist threatens his prestige for his father's company. During his short time at the academy, he has yet to make a friend, and continues to keep to himself. After all, a school always can expose a person's public reputation.
A native to Paris, France – Aeson grew up in a family with power, wealth and prestige. Although it is not an imperial standing to the country of France, his father Louis owns an expanding company called Jevux. Jevux mass produces clothing and is one of the top sellers in France, and even is manufactured Internationally. Louis had inherited this company from his father, and so on and so forth – so everyone is very accustom to being wealthy within the Durant family. Aeson is the second child, and youngest beneath Anna Durant. There has always been hefty competition between Aeson and his sister, for Anna is more particular about the clothing/fashion industry where Aeson is interested within culture and the visual arts. However, being a male heir, he feels as if he is titled to the President position.
Aeson is more on his mother's favorable side, where she too, enjoys the visual arts. During his time growing up, Aeson spent most of his time with his mother and rarely saw his father. Aeson often feels threatened by Anna if she gets close to their mother, but even more so because Anna is always privately called upon by their father. As a child he and his sibling have always been home schooled, for his mother didn't want the two children to be tainted with bad influences. He was taught that those without money were a disease, that they only talked to you because they had wanted to use you for money. Aeson, young and impressionable, believed this.
At the age of 12 he was introduced to the world of sculpting. At first, he had wanted to try painting because it was his mother's favorite media.. yet Aeson found it impossible to paint anything that was of value. So, he tried her second favorite – sculpting. With his antisocial life and his racing thoughts and anxiety, sculpting alleviated most of the tension Aeson experienced as a child. With not many to talk to and no where to go, Aeson's day would consist of television and perfecting his vases, pots, and sometimes even masks. When Aeson got to his teens, he was able to get group of friends hand picked by his mother. Although he did not share too many interest with his chosen gang, it was at least company. With the help of money, Aeson was able to make a name for himself outside of the company – nominated as a “rising sculpture.”
During this time, Anna had gone to the states to study abroad. When she had came back, she described how life was different without the weight of parents eyes – with her knowledge of Aeson being on the path to destruction and isolation, Anna recommended to their parents that Aeson should study in the states as well. This, she stated, would grant him independence. He protested at first, until his father had intervened and agreed with Anna and her idea. So, at the late age of 17, Aeson was sent to New York to gain his independence, but Anna would later write in her letters to “become human and see that there is more to life than just money.”
