First day of classes, and Atticus was already sick of it. He had a free period before his vocals lesson. It wasn't like it would matter anyways, it wasn't like he was going to speak to anyone.
He remembered in his middle school just how frustrated his teachers used to be when they would call on him during class. He got in trouble so many times just because he'd stare at them blankly. It wasn't that he was incapable of speech, he just didn't think anyone was worth his time.
He stopped by the water fountain to take a drink. Sure, it wasn't the most sanitary thing to do, but he was thirsty and his current water bottle had vodka in it. He didn't feel like getting drunk during class. He didn't know his teachers yet, and he didn't want to give them more reason to hate him, at least not yet. So it remained in his room, ready to drink whenever he got back to the dorms and wherever he may travel to after that.
He leaned back against the wall by the fountain, arms crossed, just watching the students as they trailed to their classes. He couldn't believe just how many students took more than the minimal five classes. Why would anyone want to torture themselves like that? Ugh, he needed a cigarette. Well, he had time, so he pushed himself from the wall and started to walk, bumping into someone who's head was down- they were watching the floor, it seemed. He didn't make a sound, just looked at them, waiting to see what they would do.

The first day of classes, oh the joy of it all meeting teachers and classmates. It was all a fucking drag for the short blond, being looked at with questioning eyes. Yes, he was old enough to be here. No, he hadn't skipped any grades. Sorry he couldn't magically gain 4 or so inches on height, besides it would completely ruin his adorable image.
A small smile on his lips as he made his way through the halls figuring what to do now. A free period couldn't have happened sooner, now to find somewhere to 'disappear' for a bit and get away from all the annoyances of people. Though those ideas came to a short end when he collided with the other, sending him stumbling a couple steps. Damn it all to fucking hell, the words going through his head but his outward appearance much different.
"Ah, I'm sorry," he quickly with an embarrassed little smile, "Are you alright?" The tall bastard better be fine he thought looking up at the other. That overly feminine look but after running into the other, he was a bit to solid to be female in Ashley's opinion. Well, this school did have an array of interesting students, much like himself, but still that appearance just seemed like it was made to annoy him.

When asked the question, Atticus just looked at the other boy blankly, blinking his large blue eyes as a slightly amused expression crossed his face. He didn't recognize the boy, but then again, it was just his first day at school. He hadn't attended as a freshman, so he didn't know everyone just yet.
But he didn't answer or ask if the other was alright, just sized the other up. Short. Blonde. An overly cute face. ... Definitely annoying. He looked like a goody-two-shoes on the far end of the spectrum, which leg Atticus to think that he was probably just a bitchy as some of the others with similar appearance.
And Atticus didn't trust blondes. No, really. He didn't. There was just something about the hair color he was prejudice of. It was a silly, sure, but that didn't make it any less true. But most people seemed to like them. Teachers, especially. Not blonde, just the goody-two-shoes.
Though, he couldn't say that this was certain or true, it was just how it all appeared to him. But as far as he would concerned, this boy wasn't really worth his time. He folded his arms and started to walk past the boy.

Ashley honestly expected an answer to his question, a word in the least. It was just being stared at with out a response after he had gone out of his way to talk to this thing, that he could just ignore him. If he could, oh only if he could, he would have taught this long haired bitch some manners such as to respond to one when being spoken too.
His outward appearance on the polar opposite of his inner self as those to small hands held the couple of books he had in front of him hitting against his legs. He looked away from the taller male, not trusting his eyes to go along with the rest of his outer appearance.
Then the other made his way to leave, well then if that was the way he wished to be than Ashley could use that too. The blond moved to follow the taller one, if he wouldn't reply to him than that only meant he could play the annoying little cling on that was oh so concerned about the other. If anything, he was not one to be ignored like some of the others that walked these halls; he was much more important.
"Um," he said running a hand through his hair before taking hold of his books again, "You are alright, right? I mean I would guess so, but not talking like this....... it is very hard for me to guess." Ashley ended with a little laugh, oh God kill him now.

Atticus didn't recall giving any inclination that he wanted someone to join him. Especially not the person he'd just bumped into. Most people didn't take to his silent personality, and most left him alone, so the fact that this boy was being persistent intrigued him. Either he was trying to get under his skin or he was oblivious, and he didn't know enough about the boy to judge that.
He didn't stop the boy, just looked at him, and with his consistent blank stare, it was hard to tell if he annoyed or not. Instead, he gave Ashley a sort-of smile, it didn't seem condescending or even like "fuck off," more like "you're weird," because really, who followed someone who didn't talk to you unless they had hidden motives?
It made his suspicious, but he assumed that the boy was trying to get some sort of a reaction out of him, whether anger, laughter, or something in between. But Atticus found it all to be all rather amusing. Sure, he wasn't going to laugh, but he was far from kicking the boy where he stood. He may have been a violent person when jealous, but it was hard to make his jealous or that upset these days.
Unless he was flat-on-his-face drunk. Then he was known for getting into fights. But he wasn't high or drunk or anything but sober at the moment, thus he had a grip on reality. He blinked slowly before opening the doors to the stairwell. Ashley could choose to follow him... or not.

This tall bastard was really getting under Ashley's skin when he was trying to get under his and the other wasn't even doing anything. It was so annoying and it drove Ashley even more now to be that annoying, but so adorably cute, cling on. If anything he wasn't going to let this quiet annoyance win, even if it really was a whole competition thought up all by himself in that little blond head.
Ashley continued to follow the taller male, his voice continuing on now with pointless questions and words. "So, I don't remember you around here last year? Are you new? What year are you in? Do you have class right now? If you do, you really should go. Skipping on the first day is not the best way to start off the year," Ashley continued keeping up with the other that mindless smile on his face . He stepped up his pace a bit stopping in front of the other with a slight pout, "Are you going to answer any of my questions?"

The questions were now coming in a torrential flood. He was used to the chattering, though, and while he couldn't tune it out, he could separate it from his own thoughts. He turned and looked at this boy, he wouldn't waste words on him, not speaking, so he drew a sticky note pad from his bookbag, stopping in order to do so.
No class, free period. I'm new here. He reached out and stuck it on the boy's shirt, just because he could. He smiled a little and continued to walk. That was the only information he was going to give him for now. The boy intrigued him, not annoyed him.
Then again, he had put up with a lot of chatter boxes as friends before, and he used to be pretty social himself. He wondered if he was that annoying... in elementary school. He took out his cellphone and started to text Dietrich as he walked. If he was lucky, his twin would have a free period as well and they could meet up.
