Every time Josie stepped foot into a candy shop he always thought of Charlie and the Chocolate factory, the one with Johnny Depp… He actually liked that movie even though he had found Johnny Depp quite creepy in that movie. He walked into the store with a black jacket, the hood with the fur trim up on his head which was covered in a bandana with some of his blond hair coming out the sides. Under his jacket was a lime green shirt; and from his waist down were a pair of bagging pants and black converse.
Josie held onto the edges of his obnoxiously purple scarf as he walked up to the counter. The store wasn’t actually as crowded as he thought it would be; he was guessing that not too many people had a sweet tooth enough to go walking through the town while it was snowing heavily. “Candy candy, I like candy,” he said as he looked at the lady behind the counter; she was returning an odd look in his direction as if he had lost his brain, which if one thought about it, he probably had. Maybe he left it on his pillow back in the dorm… Eh, his roommate would find it and make good use of it, hopefully. He snickered to himself.
“Yes yes, I like candy,” he continued eyeing the little brunette, matching her expression. “I would like -“ he looked over the girls’ head at the menu thing and contemplated what he wanted. “Candy?”
The girl looked at him and sighed, “There is a lot of candy here, surely you wouldn’t like the lot. It’s pointless to get the lot.” Her eyes were wide…
He found himself quoting Willy Wonka, “Candy doesn’t have to have a point. That’s why it’s candy.” He smiled at the girl as he had brought a smile and a considerable eye roll from the girl. She went around and picked up a hand full of at least five different things that he honestly wasn’t paying attention to and he didn’t care either. When she came back she told him the price and he handed her fifteen dollars and told her to keep the change. He grabbed the bag and took a seat, because honestly, he didn’t want to go back into the cold of the winter outside.
When he took the seat he clapped his hands and opened the bag like a five year old opening a Christmas present. “Candy!” He yelled before he popped a piece of chocolate into his mouth.
