Rome just wanted to be inside from the cold; seeing as how the computer lab seemed empty on this winter day Rome felt it was the prime opportunity to work on her mid-term paper. She already knew she was going to fail, seeing as how she hadn’t gotten any book material for it since the day she pretty much destroyed her already banged up record. She had bashed some poor girl’s head in and then burned the librarian’s personal book… Yea, she pretty much hadn’t stepped foot in the library since, and honestly she probably wasn’t really welcomed there anymore anyway.
So now Rome was scraping by with the skins of her teeth. If she was going to pass the mid-term she needed to write a kick-ass paper, and that was impossible with the fact she had no notes and no material. On top of that, the girl couldn’t even remember what exactly they were supposed to be writing about. Too many things had happened in her life for her to even begin to think to remember a single thing about the mid-term assignment. So Rome was in the water deep, and there was no way she was getting out of this one.
“Fuck my life,” Rome belted through the empty room as she practically banged her head on the desk in front of the keyboard of the computer. She was fed up with everything, with her father, with her classes, with getting in trouble; she just wanted it all to be over with. She certainly wasn’t going to get it over with by sitting there inwardly complaining about her life and wanting it all to just end. Rome needed just one moment to herself, of pure quietness…
Of course, several students and stumbled in noisily; a ground exited Rome’s lips as she heard their whispers and laughter. “Shut up, please,” she smiled in their direction before rolling her eyes and putting her eyes back onto the screen of the computer. She needed to just focus and let words pour out, bull shit was better than nothing, right? When she heard a loud cackle she turned her head to the people and they ducked out of her sight. Wow, really? She rolled her eyes once more and looked at her word count; she only had three hundred and ninety one words; that wasn’t even half of what she needed for this paper. She certainly was not going to pass this class on her own; heck she was scraping by so badly she wouldn’t be able to pass with another person’s help either. Most likely.
The more Rome sat there, the more she hated having to do this; the more she wanted to just get up and leave. But the girl needed to try, despite everything; she had to at least try. She pushed the keyboard away from her and huffed, placing her head in her arms and resting on the desk. “This is fucking bullshit,” she mumbled angrily into her sleeve.
