I should start by telling you that this is a romance plot. It’s going to be slow moving, and it’s going to be anything but short of drama. Now you’re probably thinking it’s going to be something like the good girl falls for the bad boy and blah blah blah; but Rome is far from the good girl. In fact, Rome tends to find herself in all sorts of trouble because she doesn’t think about the consequences before she acts on her intentions. She tends to act, and if it doesn’t work out, well, then she’s pretty much stuck unless she can somehow get herself out – which she normally can’t.
So the scoop of what’s been going on is that Rome has opened up to her Creative Writing teacher, Mr. Russel Connor. She has also gotten in trouble by the librarian, for bashing some poor girl’s head into a book shelf – but not doing anything but making the girl bleed and have a serious headache for a few weeks – and burned a personal book of Miss Roslyn Barker, the librarian. She got the rest of that week in suspension, and then for the rest of the month and the first two weeks of December she had detention after her school day was few every day with the exception of the weekends since she had to work. So, Rome and the librarian are not on good terms with one another; and there is even more devious planning for Rome and Miss Barker in the future.
Mr. Connor and Rome are on speaking terms, and so far Mr. Connor is the only person that Rome has been able to fully open up with – that is in the position of authority, I mean. Rome has made friends with a select few people from her classes, like: Anthea de Luca, Leonard Michaels (even though this has not been played out yet, me and the player have said on multiple accounts that they would work well together – and we will be plotting them together for the Miss Barker and Rome plotting as well), and some others that have been mention through the c-box but we have yet to plan out fully.
Now, I’ve had in mind a romance plotting for Rome for a while; over time the idea has changed from many different things. First, I had planned that the boy Rome eventually seems to crush on actually works as a staff member and is about 23 or so and helps Miss Barker out in the library; if you like that idea and want to incorporate that we can find a way; but since then it’s changed slightly to him being staff to him being a student. So, I’ll tell you a bit about how the student idea works, and then I’ll share with you the idea of him being staff. So then you can choose which on you prefer.
So, the ideas are that he is a student; he’s either a junior or a senior, though I would much rather him be a junior. In my head he’s kind of a genius, not quite like Reid from Criminal Minds; but similar. He’s in a lot of advance classes, probably won a lot of awards, and came to Lux Lucis as a scholarship kid. I’m assuming he started in his freshman or sophomore year after he applied to the school in Middle School with a lot of awards and trophies for school events under his belt. I actually could see him as the private school boy before he had come to Lux, but that part is entirely up to you. He has probably been in voice lessons and anything to do with singing for a long time, even before Lux Lucis (I also say this because it makes since with his play-by and because it’s a lot easier finding pictures of him with a microphone and in action). If you want him to do something other than voice, that would be fine as well, but run it by me first – I also said voice because it would give them a chance to interact together in a more classroom setting as classmates; peers.
The idea is that he’s pretty much on the right path. He does well in school, he rarely – as in never – gets into trouble, and he’s always a helping hand when it comes to certain things. He helps his peers and his teachers, but he’s also a boy that knows how to have fun. He likes to goof around with his friends and go to parties; he’s against drinking and doing drugs to the umpteenth degree. He thinks that people can have fun without needing to do that stuff, and typically he’s a good example at that, because he always seems to have fun without the drugs and alcohol. Now the point is that he’s a good influence on people, and he does well in school. The idea is that, since Rome is not a very good student in many of her classes, that one of her teacher’s – most likely Mr. Connor – will suggest for her to find a tutor, and possibly knowing that he is a good student and a good influence will suggest this particular student to tutor her.
Rome, because Mr. Connor suggested it, will give it a shot; and I doubt that this boy would turn the offer down because it would put good marks on his records for colleges.
Now here is where things get really good. Rome will probably show up at their meeting place, which I’ll assume he’s already there and Rome is actually kind of late. So his patience with the girl are already wearing thin, then her attitude about the whole ordeal wears him down some more – since he’s passive and she’s aggressive, he’s optimistic and she’s pessimistic, on top of her being stubborn and ignorant. So things would be a little rocky at first, he’d probably get frustrated and upset with her, and then occasionally pissed at her because she’d laugh it all off like it was no big deal. He takes school serious because he wants to go to college, and though Rome does too, she doesn’t find school as too much of a big deal.
So here’s where it starts… Because Rome is a really horrible student, it kind of becomes a practically weekly thing, heck maybe even every other day – depending on you – for their tutoring lessons. I’m thinking we could say that they were offered to her mid-December by Mr. Connor when she was talking to him privately in class. Over time I suspect that Rome doesn’t give him as much trouble, because even though he’s stubborn he’s still more than willing to help her with her classes; which will kind of impress Rome enough where she’d stick around and at least show some effort. I’m thinking they share things about their lives and personal thoughts and stuff, and slowly become friends. They don’t have to move fast, but I’m thinking when Rome acts on this other part of the plot with Miss Barker he probably won’t be happy because she’d get into trouble, and since he’s her friend he wouldn’t want to see that because it would also put her tutor sessions on hold and she’d fall behind on all her progress.
This would probably put a damper on their whole situation, but I think they’d work past it. Eventually, along the way they would grow feelings for one another; but because Rome is stubborn she won’t admit hers, even if he is to admit his feeling for her first.
Now the idea of him being the librarian’s assistant is kind of similar. He would have been one of those students who really excelled in school and went to college early and all that. But he probably could find a job according to his degree – whatever that may be – because of how the economy is, so he decided to just stick around Lux Lucis until he could find better arrangements for a job. He offers free tutoring to the students, and works as an assistant to the librarian. I’m assuming things would go the same way, Mr. Connor would suggest him to Rome and Rome would at least try… And from there the relationship kind of buds the same manner as the one with the student. Of course, Rome’s other plot with Miss Barker may put even more of a damper on their relationship since this boy will be closer to the librarian than the other; which could work to our advantage when it comes to plotting and drama.
The choice of which one is completely up to you, as is his age, name. Though try to make his age work appropriately with the grade level you’d like to put him in – I’m okay with junior or senior, but I’d prefer junior; if you want to go with the student idea. If you want to go with the library assistant idea, please make his age accordingly to his occupation and give him at least some leeway for going to college and things. I suspect the student will be 16-18, depending on the grade and the librarian assistant will be about 20-23, I would prefer it if he was 20-22 since the librarian is 22 and I would like him to be a little younger than her.
As for the play-by, I will look at anyone you suggest; but I would prefer Jordan Witzigrueter. I am okay with Liam Hemsworth – since he and the play-by for Rome have pictures together, but I do not really want to do that. I real look over your suggestion and your ideas if you have any, so long as you actually run them by me first; since we will be plotting together it would be nice and considerate if any ideas you have for the character were run by me if it pertains to my own character.
Thank you. I hope to plot with you soon. Also, if you need help resizing any pictures for the app please just give me the link and ask; I'll be happy to resize for you.
